SLOWKEPT separates the private words of a physical letter from the small timeline around it. Start free without creating a Code, then choose a Demo or paid Ongoing Thread only if the letter will be sent.
The Early Free Letter Guide is available in early access. Its prompts, order, and wording may continue to evolve as we refine it.
Step 1
Open the Early Free Letter Guide
Use the current guided questions to prepare the letter. The exact prompts and order may evolve as the guide library develops.
Step 2
Write the physical letter privately
Write on paper or in a private document you control. The full letter is not entered into SLOWKEPT.
Step 3
Choose Send, Wait, or Save
The guide can end with sending the letter, delaying it, or keeping it privately. A Private Thread is optional.
Step 4
Create a Private Thread only when ready
If the letter will be sent, create a Code for a clearly marked one-time Demo or use a paid Ongoing Private Thread credit.
Step 5
Take turns around each physical letter
In an active Ongoing Private Thread, A and B take turns. On each turn, the person sending the next physical letter may add zero, one, or two optional shared updates. Marking the letter as sent passes the Thread to the other person without using that allowance, and the same Thread can continue across future letter rounds.
Step 6
Keep private notes separate
A participant may keep a private note attached to a timeline event. That note is not shown to the other participant.
Ways to begin
The Demo and paid Ongoing access are different products.
An Ongoing Private Thread is a separate one-time purchase. A completed Demo remains available as a read-only record with its original Code, while the paid Thread receives its own active Code. The Demo is not a lifetime free Ongoing Thread, and upgrading or deleting it does not create another free Demo.

What the shared timeline can show
- The sender is holding the letter for now.
- The sender sent the physical letter.
- The recipient received it and chose to add an update.
- The recipient needs more time.
- A reply was sent by letter.
What SLOWKEPT leaves alone
- The full letter text, scan, and photograph stay outside SLOWKEPT.
- No passive open tracking, read receipts, public profiles, or relationship graph.
