Refund and Cancellation Policy

This policy explains digital delivery, refund review, security-triggered refunds, disputes, and what happens to paid access after a confirmed refund.

Effective Date: July 19, 2026

Last Updated: July 19, 2026

1. Immediate digital delivery

This policy applies to one-time digital purchases made directly through slowkept.com when paid sales are enabled. SLOWKEPT does not currently sell recurring subscriptions or ship physical products.

A purchase is delivered when the applicable guide, printable, account entitlement, Ongoing Private Thread credit, or other paid access is made available through the customer's account after trusted payment-provider confirmation.

2. Purchases are generally final

Because digital access may be provided immediately, purchases are generally final and non-refundable after access is delivered, except for the limited circumstances below or where applicable law requires a refund.

A change of mind, a decision not to download or print content, the absence of a recipient response, or dissatisfaction with an outcome SLOWKEPT did not promise does not ordinarily qualify for a refund.

3. Circumstances considered for a refund

A full or partial refund may be considered for a verified duplicate charge, paid access that was not provided and cannot be restored, an incorrect entitlement that cannot be corrected, a material technical failure that cannot reasonably be resolved, a material difference from the checkout description, or another circumstance where applicable law requires a refund.

SLOWKEPT may first restore access, correct an entitlement, repair affected content, reconcile a payment, or provide reasonable troubleshooting before deciding whether a refund is appropriate.

4. Security warnings and automatic refunds

A payment provider may identify a transaction as elevated risk, place it under review, issue an early fraud warning, or report a pre-chargeback alert. SLOWKEPT may temporarily suspend the paid access connected to that payment while the signal is verified.

When Stripe sends an actionable early fraud warning that can be reliably matched to a SLOWKEPT order, SLOWKEPT may automatically request a full refund of the payment's remaining refundable balance. This action is intended to reduce payment fraud and disputes and is not an accusation that the account holder committed fraud.

If a provider has already issued a pre-chargeback refund, SLOWKEPT processes the confirmed financial result. If an event cannot be matched or its result is unclear, access remains safely paused while the event is reviewed rather than being guessed.

5. How to request help or a refund

Submitting a request does not automatically issue a refund. SLOWKEPT reviews the order, delivery and access records, prior refunds or disputes, the issue described, and information reasonably necessary to investigate the request.

Contact support@slowkept.com or use the purchase-support option in your account. Do not send a password, complete payment-card number, card security code, complete Private Thread Code, or the full text, scan, or photograph of a personal letter.

6. Refund request and provider confirmation are separate

A refund request may move through requested, provider-pending, succeeded, failed, cancelled, or needs-review states. A successful API request to the payment provider does not mean the refund is complete.

Access changes become final only after SLOWKEPT receives a trusted provider confirmation that the refund succeeded. If the refund is still pending, related paid access may remain temporarily suspended.

7. Effect of a confirmed full refund

After a full refund is confirmed, unused paid Thread credits and the refunded order's guide or printable grants may be revoked. A Thread credit already used to create an Ongoing Private Thread remains recorded as consumed.

An Ongoing Private Thread created from the refunded order becomes read-only. Both participants can continue to view the existing shared timeline, and each account can continue to view its own existing private notes. New shared updates, new rounds, and new or edited private notes are no longer available through that refunded access.

SLOWKEPT does not delete existing Private Thread history solely because a refund was confirmed. A separate deletion request is reviewed independently under the Privacy Policy and the rights of both participants. Unrelated valid purchases, grants, and the account's already-used one-time Demo status remain unaffected.

8. Partial refunds

When a partial refund clearly identifies a specific order item, SLOWKEPT may adjust only the entitlement created by that item.

When a provider reports only an amount and SLOWKEPT cannot reliably determine which product access should change, the refund is placed in manual review. SLOWKEPT does not guess which Guide, Printable, credit, or Thread should be affected. Manual reviews are typically completed within 1–2 business days. A payment provider's own decision, investigation, or settlement timing may take longer.

9. Payment disputes and chargebacks

Customers are encouraged to contact SLOWKEPT before opening a payment dispute so that access or billing problems can be investigated.

When a dispute opens, related paid access may be temporarily suspended and an existing Ongoing Private Thread may become temporarily read-only. If the provider resolves the dispute in SLOWKEPT's favor, eligible access is restored from the existing state without resetting limits or creating duplicate credits.

If the payment is finally reversed, the confirmed-full-refund access rules apply. SLOWKEPT preserves the provider's original payment facts and records any later administrative exception separately.

10. Duplicate purchases and multiple access sources

A refund affects only the grants created by the refunded order. If another valid order or an independent administrative grant still provides the same access, that access remains available.

A duplicate-purchase refund does not affect an Ongoing Private Thread unless that Thread was specifically created from the credit belonging to the refunded duplicate order.

11. Timing and original payment method

Approved refunds are ordinarily returned to the original payment method. The payment provider and the customer's financial institution determine when the refund appears.

SLOWKEPT cannot retrieve or remotely delete a PDF or printable file that was already saved to a customer's device before access ended.

12. No subscription cancellation

SLOWKEPT currently uses one-time purchases and does not charge recurring subscription fees. There is no subscription to cancel.

Nothing in this policy limits a consumer right that cannot legally be waived.

13. Contact

SLOWKEPT is operated by Slowkept LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. Purchase and refund questions may be sent to support@slowkept.com.
